How an Organic Farmers Market Promotes Networking

By Rob Sutter

Networking is something that seems to spring a multitude of images but social networking is an item that, I believe, takes precedence for most of us. Facebook, Twitter, and the like are websites that we are keen to use on a daily basis, not only keeping in touch with loves ones but wondering just what a favorite celebrity of ours is going to do next. Networking has other purposes, though, and they are ones that, in my mind, correlate well to an organic farmers market.

Something that I have to admire about an organic farmers market that I can't really say about other store is that there seems to be more of a sense of community. Someone seems to know someone else and it's almost like they're building connections based around the food that's being sold at these markets. It allows people to expand their social circles slowly until they have people flooding their proverbial friends list. It's also what helps to make companies like Colle Farmers Market that much more effective.

This is the sort of situation which doesn't seem to differ terribly from people who may be starting out on Facebook, for instance. Let's say you're looking for friends to add; maybe it doesn't matter to you if you know this person for years or mere moments. You simply want to expand that list and let other people see the business you're trying to promote. For the sake of pitching products, you want as many eyes on the product as possible.

Once you have the attention of people who are about to buy, you're going to want to show why your products are worth investing in. Organic products have a multitude of incentives and you should show why they're needed for your diet. For instance, foods you can typically buy at a supermarket are oftentimes cleaned with pesticides, which can be potentially harmful to the body in large amounts. Organic products are cleaned through means of nature before they're marketed to potential consumers.

An organic farmers market deals with networking to certain degrees, since there is communication that is done between groups. You have to let people know of what you're selling too because there may be those who know little about organic food. In addition to telling them about you're selling, explain why they should buy in terms of organic dining as a whole. Make sure that you keep this in mind and it will be easy for you to attract consumers ready to put money down.
